Authentique - Accomplished Collection

How quickly time flies when you get lost in being a Woman and all the different hats that come along with it, Mom, Wife, Chef, Gardener, Interior Decorator, .......and the list goes on, never mind your actual career! Needless to say, I have yet again lost track of time but here I am to share Authentique's Accomplished Collection!

This collection was launched late last year and I 'fell in love' with it's boldness, substance and timeless essence. My personal stash of this range is about 80 sheets, it is so versatile.  I have used it for cards, gift bags, gift boxes, Heritage, Family, Birthday and Graduation Scrapbooking and just wanted to share above and below some of the things that I created.

I hope that you will be inspired by this and if you would like to get your hands on this range, please visit my website: 'Kits Online' and take a peak under 'Paper Collections', where you will find some stash! http://www.kitsonline.co.za

Until next time xoxo

Envelope Punch Board Project Idea

         Concertina Card - 8 Cards in 1!

                                      with the

            FabScraps Shabbylicious Paper Range

This Concertina Card consists of 8 mini Cards that are 3.5 X 3.5" square inserted into 8 mini Envelopes made on the Envelope Punch Board.  The envelopes are then gummed together on the flaps (using a Thombo gluestick) and folded in a concertina fashion.

I cut two pieces of chipboard (4 X 4") and covered and decorated them and then adhered them to the concertina envelopes to serve as a front and back of the card. I decorated the 8 mini Cards and inserted them in the envelopes.

Using the Yummy Shabbylicious Range of Fabscraps Paper, this pretty project is ideal to use as a card from a group (eg family, bible study, book club) to one person.

Happi Creating xoxo

Super Quick and Easy Card Design

                            with the Envelope Punch Board

This amazing tool is quite difficult to get your hands on as it sells out as soon it hits the shelf!  It not only punches  envelope templates, but also makes bows, boxes, tags, file folders and more. I have used this tool to make the bow on this card and for those of you who have the tool and are punching bows, the measurements for the bow on this card is as follows: for the bottom(tail of the bow) 10cm X 4cm punched at 5 cm on either side and the loop of the bow is 15cm X 4cm punched at 7.5cm on either side. I have used a flattened bottle top to hold the rose and pin.  This card looks stunning in black and white and bling for a 21st card and in ivory and cream for a wedding card.

I have used Authentique's Flourish Range! Thank you Authentique for your inspirational paper designs!

Quick and Easy is probably my middle name and as my list of chores are never ending, I always have to seek out the BEST EFFECT in THE SHORTEST TIME!  I know that all the other Busy Bees out there are on my page, so looking through my stash of last year's paper ranges I thought that you might be keen to MIX it UP midweek with  Authentique's CHERISH and LOVELY ranges, 2 of my old favourites!

All the scalloped circles and heart cuts are 3-D  in order to add quick and easy Dimension and Harmony to these GIRLY CARD DESIGNS.

Cardmaking with Doodlebug Designs - Take Note Range

Well Hi.....to say "it has been a while" is the plain truth.

This past year has seen the Graduation of my Younger Son from High School and my Eldest Son from University, we have celebrated our New Home and we have mourned the passing of a Loved One and time like a thief in the night has robbed me of the opportunity of sharing my creativity with all of you.

2013 is a new year and at the risk of sounding positively optimistic, has the fresh scent of New Ideas, Creative Spirit and Doodlebug Designs!

Their "Take Note" range inspired the "stationary collector" in me and I had great fun using giant sized paper clips and mini bulldog clips from my stash.

Hope you have just as much "FUN" as I did and don't forget to use your Cuttlebug Folders to Emboss the front of your cards for added subtle texture and dimension.

Cardmaking with Pebbles Inc - NEW ADDITION RANGE

With the high levels of testosterone prevalent in our home (a husband, 2 sons and a male dog!) and the associated paraphernalia (constant barrage of news and sports channels playing on the television as if it were a radio, socks so smelly that you cannot believe they were only worn once, soccer balls strewn all over the garden, dishes, mugs and empty energy drink bottles in every conceivable place in the house and the list goes on) I sometimes feel the need to retreat into a girly world of swirls, flowers, bows, hearts and pretty pink dots and THANKS TO PEBBLES Inc and their NEW ADDITION range I was inspired to do so with this range of handmade "Scrapbooking Style" Greeting Cards.

The slider card below is shown in 3 parts

Cardmaking with My Minds Eye

My Minds Eye Paper Ranges are pure eye candy for any avid Scrapbooker.  This particular range from their Lost and Found Collection was just calling me to design a range of Scrapbooking Cards!  The objective of these designs was to style cards using the popular "BUNTING" theme.

Please add your comments/feedback below or email me at happiscrappin@telkomsa.net.

I would love to hear from You!

Echo Park - Dots and Stripes

I really enjoyed creating greeting cards with the latest range of Echo Park Paper - Dots and Stripes! I felt especially inspired by the fresh and crisp teal blue and had fun with circles, my all time favourite shape. Circles have a sense of continuity, fun and energy and always make me feel HaPpY!!
